Fort Foster 2021--CHANGE OF PLANS--Now Meeting at Biddeford Pool

  • East Point Sanctuary 69 L.B. Orcutt Blvd Biddeford, ME, 04005 United States (map)

We can never predict where rarities will pop-up. This week an Ash-throated Flycatcher was spotted in Biddeford Pool. Ash-throated Flycatchers breed in the Western United States, winter  in Mexico or Central America. We polled young birders who had signed upon for the outing and agreed that most wanted to try to find the flycatcher tomorrow instead of our original plans for Fort Foster.

LOGISTICS:  Dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes. All attendees must wear a face covering during the trip. We will have extras on hand in case you do not have one.  Bring the following: filled water bottle, a bagged lunch and snacks, sunblock, a hat, sunglasses, binoculars, camera (optional), scope (if you have one), notebook & field guide (optional), and a backpack in which you'll keep all your stuff.  If you do not have binoculars, MYBC will provide you with a pair.
