If you joined us for our 2024 Fort Foster trip, you know this Kittery Point hotspot is full of surprises—any bird can show up! Last year, one of our MYBC members discovered a Long-eared Owl, thrilling our group and local birders alike.
Join us again on Sunday, November 23rd for a fun-filled outing to one of Maine’s premier birding locations. This beautiful 88-acre coastal park features three beaches connected by scenic trails and a long pier with excellent views of Whaleback Lighthouse, Jerry’s Point Lifesaving Station, and a variety of waterbirds. November is prime rarity season in Maine, so anything is possible! We’ll explore the shoreline, wetlands, and wooded trails in search of wintering species, lingering migrants, and perhaps some irruptive winter finches.
